Dame Alison Peacock is Chief Executive of the Chartered College of Teaching, a Professional Body that celebrates, supports and connects teachers to provide expert teaching and leadership.
Prior to joining the Chartered College, Dame Alison was Executive Headteacher of the Wroxham School in Hertfordshire. Her career has spanned primary, secondary and advisory roles. She is an Honorary Fellow of Queens’ College Cambridge, a member of the Royal Society’s Education Committee, and a Visiting Professor of both the University of Hertfordshire and Glyndwr University.
Dame Alison's research focuses on ‘learning without limits’, which offers an alternative approach to inclusive school improvement. Her latest book is Assessment for Learning without Limits (McGraw-Hill, 2016). In this talk, Dame Alison talks about what it means to ‘learn without limits’, drawing on her extensive experience in education.
